PADI Emergency Responder Course
PADI EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER
(EFR)/CARE FOR CHILDREN (CFC)
The PADI Emergency First Responder/Care for Children course is a basic training class in emergency care. CPR, basic first aid and other important emergency care skills are combined into a 1 day course which allows graduates to function with consistent priorities in an emergency.
You will learn:
• BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level
• AED (automated external defibrillator) use
• Preventing and caring for shock
• Spinal injury management
• Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk
• Basic first aid and first aid kit considerations
This training is a prerequisite for certification as a PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Divemaster and meets requirements for career students attending the PADI Instructor Development Course.

The following books and materials are required for the Emergency First Responder Course:
• Emergency First Response: Primary and Secondary Care Manual.
This manual is included in the price of the course.

Schedule & Dates:
At Pro Dive we offer three scheduling formats for you to take Emergency First Response training – Semester Scheduling, Career Scheduling or As Needed. Semester Scheduling is conducted on nights and weekends, and our Career Scheduling is done in consecutive days.
