PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE

The PADI Rescue Diver course is a 4 day class which is an important step in expanding your Advanced Open Water Diver knowledge and experience. At Pro Dive, our PADI Rescue Diver course is uniquely designed for those who wish to become future diving professionals. We accomplish this by providing content that is unique to those who will one day supervise dives. We also utilize as many environments as possible for a well-rounded experience. This performance-based course will involve classroom presentations, pool and beach skill development, 3 ocean boat training dives and 3 fresh water lake training dives. With this design, your Rescue Diver training gives you valuable experience with salt water, fresh water, beach, boat, dock, pool, reef and lake rescue scenarios.
Entry Requirements:
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or qualifying certification from another training
organization
PADI Emergency First Responder or qualifying certification from another training
organization
Minimum age:
18 years for Career Candidates
15 years for Non-Career Candidates
12 years for Junior Rescue Divers

Equipment Needed:
You will need the following equipment for the course:

Mask, fins and snorkel
• Wetsuit*
• BCD with low-pressure inflator system*
• Single-hose regulator with alternate-air-source device*
• Submersible pressure gauge*
• Depth gauge*
• Compass*
• Bottom timing device (dive computers preferred)*
• Dive knife or other cutting tool
• Surface signaling device (whistle)
• Pencil and underwater slate
• Pocket mask

All Pro Dive students are eligible for special discount pricing on equipment purchased in our full-service retail dive center. Rental equipment is available on request.
Schedule & Dates:
You can take the PADI Rescue Diver course with Pro Dive in two program formats: Career Program and Semester Program. The Career Program is scheduled for those going through Phase 1 training on their way to becoming Divemasters or higher. This schedule is four consecutive full days of training. Your other schedule option is the Semester Program. This schedule is broken up into nights and weekends – convenient for those not doing full-time career training.

Certification Awarded:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student is certified as a PADI Rescue Diver and qualifies for further training as a PADI Divemaster.

$450 Our course cost includes classroom & pool sessions; all ocean boat dives and lake dives; certification fees; a photo for your certification card and all course materials.
